Casappa’s sustainability goals

Casappa Spa has implemented actions in line with 8 of the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) recognized by the United Nations. It has placed a priority on innovation and the creation of partnerships geared towards the development of new technologies that promote the well-being and improvement of customer conditions and respond to their needs.

Environment

The percentage reduction in GHG emissions compared to the previous year is 22%.


In the Mechanical Processing department, the company reuses recycled or reused raw materials: specifically, it recovers a lubricant-coolant liquid using filters and recovery systems inside the machines.
Part of the liquid that remains on the processing waste is collected by special drainage and accumulation mechanisms that allow the emulsion to be recovered.

Casappa raises awareness among its employees about the correct sorting of waste produced in the workplace by sharing the company’s “waste expert.”

Data analytics energy

Monitoring greenhouse gas emissions

Over the last five years, particularly from 2021 to 2023, the company has carried out energy efficiency measures implemented by the Facilities Department, for a total value of €811,896.

New Logistics Hub

In November 2024, the new, modern logistics expansion center at Casappa’s headquarters in Lemignano, Parma, will be fully operational.

Casappa is constantly committed and active in issues relating to collaboration and support for the communities and territories in which it operates.
It regularly carries out projects in schools and communities on issues related to sustainability.

The company adopts a system for evaluating suppliers. In particular, it uses a questionnaire developed by the Global Purchasing Department that allows for the systematic analysis of various critical aspects of the supply.
